Miami Waterkeeper focuses on clean water, ecosystem protection, and sea level rise resiliency. First, we tackle issues of clean water throughout the Biscayne Bay watershed, from the Everglades to our coral reefs. Second, we protect the ecosystems that depend on that clean water, including corals, seagrasses, and mangroves. Finally, we focus on sea level rise resiliency, which guides all areas of our work. We employ a multidisciplinary approach, which includes science, policy & advocacy, and education & outreach.

NAMI Miami-Dade focuses on mental health support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness. First, they provide free peer-led support groups and educational programs that help individuals better understand and manage mental health conditions. Second, they advocate for improved access to care and policies that protect the rights of those living with mental illness. Finally, they work to reduce stigma in our community by fostering understanding, compassion, and open conversation. Their approach combines lived experience, education, and community outreach to ensure that no one feels alone in their mental health journey.

The Guardian Watch focuses on protecting children and preventing abuse through advocacy, awareness, and community action across Florida. First, they educate families, educators, and organizations on how to recognize, prevent, and report child abuse. Second, they advocate for stronger protections and policies that prioritize child safety and accountability. Finally, they mobilize communities to take proactive roles in safeguarding vulnerable youth. Their approach combines prevention education, legislative advocacy, and public awareness campaigns to create safer environments for children throughout the state.

Tropical Audubon Society focuses on protecting South Florida’s native birds, wildlife, and natural habitats. First, they conserve and restore critical ecosystems, including pine rocklands, wetlands, and coastal habitats that support biodiversity across our region. Second, they advocate for responsible environmental policy and land-use decisions that safeguard green spaces for future generations. Finally, they educate and engage the community through bird walks, youth programs, and conservation initiatives. Their work blends science, advocacy, and hands-on stewardship to preserve the natural landscapes that define South Florida.
